CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Brannanfield Road near Oakleaf High School is now back open after a three-car crash closed the road.
According to a motorist who called into First Coast News, the road was still closed around noon.
The crash is by the overpass on Brannanfield Road (State Road 23) near the intersection of Brannanfield Road and Plantation Oaks Boulevard, according to a release from Clay County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Mary Justino.
While the Florida Highway Patrol works the crash they have the road closed. The Clay County and Jacksonville Sheriff's Offices are providing traffic control.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible. Traffic is being diverted onto Oakleaf Plantation Parkway as an alternative route.
Justino said preliminary information is that two adults have been injured in the crash. One man was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries. A woman injured in the crash is being treated for minor injuries.
