JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Not only was it the end of the season, but it was also the end of an era at EverBank Field on Sunday.

The Jaguars' 19-13 victory over the Colts was the final game for Wayne and Delores Weaver, the original owners of the franchise which came into existence in 1993.

Shahid Khan takes control of the team on Wednesday.  Among his first orders of business is to decide who the head coach will be for the Jaguars in 2012.

In Sunday's game, Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for a season-high 169 yards on 25 carries.  That performance gives him 1,606 yards for the year.  That's the most in the NFL this season, and that total breaks the Jaguars franchise record for most rushing yards in a single season.  Fred Taylor held that record for 8 years as he rushed for 1,572 yards in 2003.

The Jaguars scored their only touchdown in the first quarter when Blaine Gabbert connected with Chastin West for a 23 yard touchdown.  Gabbert finished the day with 11 completions on 19 attempts for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Jeremy Mincey had 2 and a half sacks and 2 forced fumbles.  The Jaguars defense forced three turnovers.

The Jaguars finish the season with a (5-11) record.  That ties the 2003 and 2008 seasons for the second-worst record in franchise history.  Only the inaugural Jaguars team of 1995 had a worse record.  That team was (4-12).

The Colts finish the season with a (2-14) record.  They have secured the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.  The Jaguars' first round pick will be somewhere between number five overall and number eight overall.
