JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Who will be on the receiving end of Blaine Gabbert's passes Thursday night?

The Jaguars have had problems in the passing game all season, ranking last in the NFL in passing with 140.8 yards per game, according to NFL.com, and Gabbert ranks 32nd out of 32 in passer rating through 13 games, with a 65.3 rating.

Though fans offer a variety of reasons for the struggles -- receivers, Gabbert, the offensive line, coaching -- Thursday's game has a new challenge: the team will be without two more receivers.

In the official injury report released this afternoon by the Jaguars, Mike Thomas and Cecil Shorts are both "out," meaning they will not play.

Thomas suffered a concussion and Shorts injured his hamstring in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.

The 53-man roster for the Jaguars lists Kassim Osgood, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Jarrett Dillard and Chastin West as the only active wide receivers.

Those four receivers have a combined 32 catches this season, and 21 of those belong to Dillard.

They have also combined for one touchdown through the air.

Thomas and Shorts have not been added to the team's injured reserve list, which already has 22 players listed.

Jacksonville plays the Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta Thursday night at 8:20.
