JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Transportation Authority sent out the following information about routes for bus riders due to the Mathews Bridge closure:
Due to the closure of the Matthews Bridge, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority is advising its customers who travel on the AR6, CT2, CT4, S1 and R5 buses to expect unusually longer trips until the bridge is reopened.
On Friday morning, JTA customers who travel these five bus routes should expect to add anywhere from approximately 30 minutes to 60 minutes to their commute time. These delays will impact those passengers making connections.
JTA customers are advised to get an earlier start on their commute.
The bus stops along the five routes are not affected by the bridge closure. JTA supervisors will be stationed at key locations to monitor the situation and assist customers.
For more information and updates, bus passengers can call JTA Customer Service at (904) 630-3100 or (904) 630-3191 for hearing impaired or visit www.jtafla.com.
