STARKE, Fla. -- The City of Starke Water Department has issued a boil water advisory for the entire city.
The advisory comes after a drop in the city's chlorine feed. According to the water department, this drop could cause contamination.
The advisory is a precautionary one and is expected to only last 8 hours.
Customers should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until 6 p.m. if using the water for cooking or drinking.
Customers will not have to boil water if they are doing laundry, washing their hands or other activities where water is not ingested.
