JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- First Coast News got a peek at how local sailors aboard the U.S.S. De Wert celebrated their Christmas.
ENS Hannah Johnston the ship's Public Affairs officer sent us these pictures.
About 200 sailors and airmen on board the U.S.S. De Wert had a special dinner along with games and performances by their Christmas choir.
The U.S.S. De Wert is based out of Mayport.
The crew is currently on a 7-month counter-piracy mission operating off the Horn of Africa.
