JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The military has a new tool for treating pain: lollipops laced with drugs.

Not bad drugs. Drugs to ease pain.

The Fentanyl pops are used in war because they relieve pain faster.

Doctors said a patient can feel the effects 15-20 minutes faster than a morphine injector.

It takes less than five minutes for the bloodstream to absorb the pain.

The lollipops are often used for cancer patients who cannot swallow pills.
