JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  Some car wash bandits are causing headaches for a Jacksonville business owner.

Over the past month, he's been hit several times by who he believes are the same people.

Surveillance cameras have captured two men, on at least four different occasions, casing out the car wash businesses in an attempt to break into change machines.

It's happened at Clean Car Car Wash locations on Emerson Street, Cassat Avenue and Blanding Avenue.  The men try to break off a portion of the cash dispenser in order to reach in with their fingers to reach dollars inside.

What's frustrating the owner the most is the fact that there's never much money in the machines because they're emptied daily.  The damage left by the attempted thefts is much greater, at least $20,000 according to the business owner.

"A camera doesn't lie.  It gets a face shot and your face is your face.  No one else has it unless you have a twin.  That camera does not lie and if you were there and you were destroying property and I have you on camera, you can't escape that," said Eli Oliver with Future Computer Systems, Inc. which supplies surveillance footage for the businesses.

The business owner is offering a $500 reward for someone who helps to catch them.  The number to call with information is 904-710-3169.
