ATLANTA -- Police are trying to piece together what happened after a man with a gunshot injury was found walking along a metro Atlanta interstate.
CBS Atlanta reports that the man, with a wound to his upper torso, was walking on westbound Interstate 20 near Fairburn Road shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Authorities say a passerby saw the man and brought him to a gas station on Fulton Industrial Boulevard.
Atlanta police Capt. Adam Lee III says the man was then taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries. Lee said Atlanta police found the man's car on I-20 near the I-285 underpass.
Police were trying to determine where the man was shot.
