DUNWOODY, Ga. -- A Georgia city has hired a lawyer who was involved with Atlanta's school cheating probe as it launches an investigation to find out who leaked information from a city council meeting.
Dunwoody Mayor Mike Davis says the probe is designed to root out the source of the leaks of information. At issue is information from a Feb. 3 council meeting that was held behind closed doors.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that former DeKalb County District Attorney Bob Wilson, one of the state's lead investigators into the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal, will be paid $150 per hour with public funds to lead the probe.
Davis says the Feb. 3 meeting involved an executive session, which is allowed to be closed to the public under Georgia law.
