Teacher Workshop on Poverty Planned for UGA

ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Georgia will offer a workshop for educators at the end of February on how to effectively teach students from poor and working-class homes. 

The Feb. 24 daylong workshop is open to teachers, school administrators and counselors. The symposium is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel.

Registration is $125 per participant, and the deadline to register is Feb. 17.
