ATLANTA, Ga. -- Three teachers from the Southeast have been named finalist for a national award for online K-12 teachers.
The award is sponsored by the Atlanta-based Southern Regional Education Board and the International Association for K-12 Online Learning. Nearly 40 educators from online schools in 26 states were nominated for the prize.
The finalists are: Leslie Fetzer from North Carolina Virtual Public School, Tracy Seiler from the South Carolina Virtual School Program and Asherrie Yisrael from Georgia Virtual School.
The winner will be announced March 1 and will receive a trip to the Virtual School Symposium in October.
This is the third year the award has been given out.
