ATLANTA -- Two women have pleaded guilty to mortgage fraud involving properties in south Atlanta.

The Attorney General's office said Tuesday the women were part of a group of 10 defendants indicted in March 2011 for fraud involving 12 properties.

Prosecutors say Cherri Dallas pleaded guilty on Friday to a charge of residential mortgage fraud for misrepresenting the income of a buyer to a mortgage lender.

They say Kai Fluker pleaded guilty on Monday to three counts of residential mortgage fraud for receiving loans by deliberately misrepresenting her income to the mortgage lender and falsely stating that each property would be her primary residence.

A third defendant, Wendy Mitchell, pleaded guilty to similar charges in November 2011.

The charges are pending against six of the remaining defendants.
