DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been killed as a hostage standoff continues at an upscale Deerfield Beach recreational vehicle park.
Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dani Moschella says a gunman has holed up inside a recreational vehicle with an unknown number of hostages and a man has been confirmed dead outside the vehicle.
She says an unharmed adult woman was released Thursday evening while deputies have been trying to talk to the suspect.
Police initially responded to a call of shots fired at the Highland Woods RV park and found the victim while the gunman threatened to shoot a woman in the RV if authorities came any closer.
