JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A local man with four prior arrests for armed robbery is once again wanted...for armed robbery.
According to a news release from Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spokesperson Melissa Bujeda, the suspect is 35-year-old Elroy Covington Jr.
Bujeda didn't specify the incident for which Covington is wanted.
A search of the JSO inmate information page revealed Covington has seven arrests in Jacksonville since 2003, on charges including battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, kidnapping and resisting arrest without violence, in addition to the armed robbery arrests.
Covington was most recently arrested in April 2008, on 10 charges, two of which were armed robbery, according to the JSO web page. He was sentenced to three years in prison, served two years in the Duval County jail, was credited for one year and was released in February, 2010, according to the Duval County Clerk of the Courts website.
