These suspects are wanted for shooting a man in the back in Springfield
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Video shows the three suspects wanted by police for shooting a man in the back in July.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened July 22 shortly before 6:30 p.m. near the intersection on Market and Fifth streets in Springfield.
Investigators believe the victim, who has not been identified, was confronted by the three suspects over money.
One of the suspects reportedly pulled a gun and told the victim to "give it up" before pulling the trigger twice, getting only two clicks from the gun.
The suspect then pointed the gun in the air and pulled the trigger again, this time firing a round into the air, police said.
The victim fled into a nearby store as the suspects fled.
About 10 minutes later, police believe, the victim began walking home, and the three suspects confronted him again, again telling him to "give it up."
When the victim refused and started walking away, he was shot in the back.
Police are looking for the three suspects seen in the video, which was released today.
