The suspect reportedly held up two San Marco hotels Monday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police believe one person was responsible for armed robberies at two San Marco-area hotels within just a few minutes of each other Monday afternoon.
The robberies happened between 1:20 and 1:50 p.m. at the Extended Stay hotel on Prudential Drive and the Super 8 Motel on Kings Avenue.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, in both cases the suspect asked the clerk about rooms, then produced a black handgun and robbed the establishments.
The suspect escaped, but was captured on a surveillance camera.
