JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man who sold his Playstation 3 game console via Craigslist was scammed when the buyer handed him phony money.

According to a police report, the victim listed his Playstation3, a controller and a Bluetooth device for sale on the website Craigslist.  In addition to the hardware, the seller also listed several games including Tiger Woods Golf, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops and NCAA.

The man said he received two phone calls from people asking to purchase the games and game system.

The man agreed to meet an unknown in the Sonic parking lot located on Beach Blvd. near St. Johns Bluff Rd.  The potential buyer agreed to purchase the items for $260.

After the two met and did the exchange the seller returned home where he realized he had been given counterfeit money.

The seller, now listed as a victim, called police and reported the fake cash.

Police attempted to locate the suspect through phone records but at last report were unable to do so.
