JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The family of 19-year old Lavonia Jackson, Jr. hopes police can find out who gunned down the young man five days ago and  put them in jail.

Lavonia Jackson was gunned down in a drive-by shooting on 19th street between Barnett Street and Witschern Street on February 6th.

The family walked the neighborhoods along Myrtle Street with Mad Dads handing out flyers and asking for people who may know something to call police.

"I hope they find out who did this," said Kenya Hamilton, mother of the slain teen.  "I just can't believe this happened and all that we have been through.  He had fought with gang members before and they had shot up my house in December. I thought it would end when I moved, but it didn't."

"It's a terrible situation and uncalled for," said A.J. Jordan of Mad Dads.  "This young man was just riding his bike and headed to school to get his education, and some guys come by with no respect for life and just shoot him for no reason."

The family and Mad Dads are asking anyone with information about what they call a "senseless crime" to call Crimestoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS  ( 8477)
