BAKER COUNTY, Fla. --  Friends and family of Miranda Wilkerson protested once again in front of the Baker County Courthouse today.

They are fighting to bring the 3-year-old back to her grandmother's home, after courts placed her with a registered sex offender, Donald Coleman, last week. Coleman is considered her legal father since he was married to Miranda's mother when she was born.

But the family claims the sex offender is not Miranda's biological father.

Today, Miranda's aunt, Rebecca Gaines, released a phone call she said she received from Miranda the day she was turned over to Coleman.

The call lasted more than three minutes and includes a child crying and telling Gaines, who she calls "Momma," that she loves her.

The voice also said she is having bad dreams. Gaines told her to "pray to Jesus" to take the bad dreams away. The little girl's voice said, "Yes, Ma'am" and then started she crying again.

Gaines will continue to protest in front of the courthouse until Miranda comes home, she said.

She also is petitioning Gov. Rick Scott for help. The family is trying to change the laws that allowed the custody transfer to happen in the first place.
