LOS ANGELES -- Paul McCartney became the last member of the Beatles to get a star on the Walk of Fame.
On Thursday, he was joined by his wife, Nancy, pal Neil Young and others, reports Reuters.
McCartney, 69, who is in Los Angeles for a performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, told the crowd: "In Liverpool, when we were kids and listening to Buddy Holly and all the other rock 'n' roll greats, I would have never thought the day would come when I'd be getting a star on the Walk of Fame. I thought it was an impossible thing to happen. But here we are today."
He added, "I couldn't have done it without a certain three boys, so I want to say thanks to those guys, John, George and Ringo."
John Lennon received his Walk of Fame star posthumously in 1988, as did George Harrison in 2009. The Beatles were also given one as a group in 1998.
