INDIANAPOLIS -- Even as Madonna told a ballroom filled with journalists that she's the "craziest" thing she's encountered in Indianapolis, she outlined a relatively wholesome Super Bowl weekend.

Her kids may check out The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, she said, while Mom wraps up rehearsals for her halftime performance Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Madonna plans to dedicate her performance to her father, a football-loving Michigan resident who likely considers the Super Bowl gig a highlight of his daughter's 30 years in the pop-culture spotlight.

"I was raised in the Midwest, and (my father) is the personification of Midwestern values," she said of 80-year-old Silvio "Tony" Ciccone. "He gave me the work ethic that I have. If I'm a hard-working girl who never stops, it's because of him."

When asked if she's planning to "push the envelope" with edgy artistic statements at halftime of the Giants-Patriots game, Madonna said she merely wants to present an entertaining show for all ages.

"I want people to be knocked off their seat from beginning to end," she said. "I hope the show is a feast for the eyes and a feast for the ears."

During a 15-minute news conference at the JW Marriott hotel, Madonna steered clear of controversy -- a constant companion during her days as an MTV icon in the 1980s and '90s.

The session's greatest intrigue surrounded what Madonna plans to do with her 12 minutes of performance time in Lucas Oil Stadium.

In response to more than one question, she said she wanted to keep details under wraps. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer eventually relented and revealed that the show will feature three old songs and one new song.

That corresponds with information provided earlier to The Indianapolis Star by sources involved in the halftime show's production.

Madonna prepped four songs during a five-hour rehearsal Wednesday night at the stadium.

Madonna worked on renditions of "Vogue" (a No. 1 hit in 1990), "Music" (No. 1 in 2000), new single "Give Me All Your Luvin' " and "Like a Prayer" (No. 1 in 1989).

During the opening segment of "Vogue," the international star sat in a golden throne and was carried aloft by a crew of men.

Two previously unconfirmed guest acts, Cee-Lo Green and pop duo LMFAO, participated in Wednesday's rehearsal, sources said.

LMFAO's Redfoo and Sky Blu folded lyrics from their songs "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy and I Know It" into Madonna's 2000 hit "Music."

Green donned a bejeweled choir robe when joining Madonna for a duet of "Like a Prayer."

The rehearsal, originally scheduled as a four-hour session, stretched to five. At its conclusion, Madonna thanked members of the volunteer crew for staying late.

When asked Thursday about her impressions of Indianapolis -- a city that's never been a stop on any Madonna tour -- the 53-year-old said she's spent her time at a hotel, at the stadium and in transit between.

"I feel very welcomed," she said. "I've been inside the stadium. The stadium is great. I have to keep pinching myself. I can't believe I'm here."
