Bob Mayrand was living the American dream when he lost his wife and job due to Bipolar/Manic Depression. Left to raise two kids alone, and in and out of mental health facilities for three years, he vowed to find answers and beat the odds to recover and lead a normal life.
As part of his recovery, he joined the Florida Consumer Action Council for Mental Health,Inc.--a client-run advocacy group. His tireless efforts continue to prove that people with mental illness can be productive in our society. His advocacy has helped bring sweeping changes to the Mental Health System.
